Our Caribbean partners Academy Sports Club will be visiting us during their European tour of Holland and Belgium between March 30th -14th April 2012. The touring party will play five games in Holland and Belgium and two in the UK between 10th -13th April, all games will be against semi and professional clubs academies youth teams at under 14 level and will be looking to play against local teams within Lewisham. Games will be played at Ten-Em-Bee Sports Development Centre.
Ten-Em-Bee, Lewisham Football Partnership and their partners Millwall and Lewisham Girls Centre of Excellence continue to work in partnership in developing the centre of excellence programme, which takes place on Saturday mornings at Old Bromley Road, playing against teams such as Arsenal, Brighton, Chelsea, Colchester, Gillingham. Middlesex FA and Norwich. This programme sees over over 100 young people supported by parents taking part in mini soccer, 9 v 9 and 11 a side games.
This partnership was the brainchild of George Davis, Raymond Simpson and Paul Palmer who felt the best way forward to develop the program was to include as many stakeholders within the Borough of Lewisham to represent a good community working to achieve success for our young girls and ladies. Ten-Em-Bee will continue to support the programme by offering the use of their facilities and administrators as they believe in the ability of the academy manager Paul Palmer to take the Girls Centre of Excellence forward.

The Ten Em Bee reunion tournament is not only designed as a sporting event but a great social event too, bringing back young and old men who once donned the famous Ten Em Bee shirts. Ten Em Bee has a history of turning out a long conveyor belt of talented footballers through their youth and senior teams respectively. Its a club with a special family vibe and once experienced becomes hard to forget or break your bond with the club, this was highlighted by the mass participation from former players and the attendance of Bradley Wright-Phillips a professional footballer for Southampton F.C who spent 5yrs at Old bromley Rd also participated in the tournament.
This year a few more successful past players are scheduled to take part Ahmed Deen (Macclesfield) Dixon Etuhu (Fulham Nigeria) and Shaun Wright-Phillips (Man City England).
So the tournament itself brings back former players to take part in a 7 sided competition within the excellent facilities of Old Bromley Rd where each player is extremely familiar. The tournament launched for the 1st time June 22nd 2008 and June 28th 2009 is the scheduled date for the 1st anniversary of the reunion and in honour of Gersham Stewart who sadly passed away in September 2008 will be re-named The Stewart Cup. Last year was a major success with 80 players involved and over 70 spectators.
All of our facilities are available for hire. Hall, Marquee, Kitchen, Grounds, and more....at:
